Recently, Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving provided a donation to the 109th Infantry Regiment Association in Scranton to support its Legacy Scholarship Program, an initiative that helps deserving students continue their education after high school.

The Legacy Scholarship Program honors the proud history and service of the 109th Infantry Regiment while creating opportunities for future generations. Each year, high school seniors who can trace their lineage back to members of the 109th Infantry Regiment are invited to apply for scholarship assistance. The program helps students pursue a variety of educational paths, including traditional college degrees and technical trade school programs.

For more than a decade, the 109th Infantry Regiment Association has remained committed to supporting students and their educational goals. Through the Legacy Scholarship Program, the organization has awarded more than $70,000 in scholarships at various award levels, helping recipients offset the costs associated with continuing their education.

Scholarship programs like this play an important role in ensuring students have access to the resources they need to pursue their ambitions. Whether a student plans to attend a four-year university, community college, or technical training program, financial assistance can help reduce barriers and create new opportunities for success.

In addition to supporting educational achievement, the Legacy Scholarship Program helps preserve the history and legacy of the 109th Infantry Regiment. By connecting younger generations with their family’s military heritage, the program encourages students to appreciate the sacrifices, service, and dedication that have shaped their communities and country.

Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving is honored to support initiatives that create meaningful opportunities for students and families. Investments in education not only benefit individual recipients but also strengthen local communities by helping develop future leaders, skilled professionals, and engaged citizens.

Organizations like the 109th Infantry Regiment Association demonstrate the lasting impact that community-focused programs can have on future generations. Their commitment to supporting education while honoring a proud military legacy continues to make a difference in the lives of students throughout Pennsylvania.

We extend our appreciation to the 109th Infantry Regiment Association for its dedication to preserving history, supporting students, and investing in educational opportunities. Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving is proud to contribute to this important effort and help ensure deserving students have the resources they need to pursue their goals.
