We remain steady in our commitment to support first responders and community safety organizations. As part of our commitment, we connected with a local fire safety department, the Halifax Fire Department. After hearing their stories of service, they received a $5,000 grant through our Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving program to help fund new emergency rescue equipment.
This donation allowed the department to purchase essential life-saving tools, including a new Stokes basket with a tie-in system, two CMC Capto devices, two 300-foot sections of life-safety rope with carrying bags, and a FAST Rescue Solutions fastboard. All of the equipment has now been placed into active service, enhancing the department’s ability to respond effectively during rescue operations.
Access to updated equipment is essential to ensuring that emergency responders can operate safely and efficiently while assisting residents in urgent situations. With the addition of these new tools, the Halifax Fire Department is better equipped to perform technical rescues, provide faster response capabilities, and maintain high safety standards for both responders and the community.
The Halifax Fire Department expressed its appreciation for the support provided through the Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving program, noting that the grant directly strengthens its ability to protect local residents. The department also recognized Chief’s Aide Bob Stout for his efforts in preparing and submitting the successful grant application that made the equipment purchase possible.
