Inspiring the Next Generation with LaVar Arrington
Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving was proud to be a main sponsor of the Nativity School of Harrisburg’s 10th Annual Breaking the Cycle Breakfast on October 10. The event drew hundreds of supporters, including Sen. Patty Kim, Dauphin County Commission President Justin Douglas, and keynote speaker LaVar Arrington, Penn State football legend and long-time advocate for youth development.

The Nativity School of Harrisburg is dedicated to empowering middle school boys from under-resourced communities through education, mentorship, and character building. The annual breakfast raises critical funds to support the school’s mission of breaking the cycle of poverty through opportunity and guidance.
LaVar Arrington’s Message of Belief and Perseverance
LaVar Arrington delivered a heartfelt keynote that connected deeply with students and attendees alike. Sharing stories from his upbringing in Pittsburgh and his journey through college and professional football, Arrington emphasized the importance of self-belief, mentorship, and perseverance.

His message to the Nativity School students was clear: believe in yourself, ask for help when you need it, and never stop striving for success. His inspiring words captured the spirit of what this event stands for.
