From Jeanna Bouzek, chairperson of Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving
I always enjoy learning about the organizations we support, such as Lansdale VFW Adjutant Post 32, which has a great story.
With approximately 500 members, the Post serves as a vibrant hub of activity, support, and camaraderie for veterans and the surrounding community. From social gatherings to meaningful service projects, the post plays an important role in bringing people together while honoring those who have served.

Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving and the owners of Lansdale Amusement Company, Dave and Amy Lausterer, recently donated toward a construction project at the Post. A new room will help members host a variety of recreational programs that foster connections, including pool leagues and a weekly dart league. These regular events provide members with a chance to relax, socialize, and build lasting friendships.

Beyond recreation, the post is deeply committed to giving back. Each year, members organize a holiday program that helps three families in need by taking them shopping for Christmas. The post also distributes around 25 gift cards to local schools to support families facing hardship. Veterans in need can always turn to the post for assistance, reinforcing its mission.
The Post also leads the planning and execution of Lansdale’s Memorial Day Parade and participates in national VFW community service initiatives, such as improving local spaces like a pocket park. Members honor fallen veterans by maintaining grave markers and replacing flags ahead of Memorial Day.
Additionally, members regularly visit the Southeast Veterans Home, providing snacks and organizing special events like coffee socials and ice cream days. I’m glad we can help these dedicated veterans with their mission and am happy they are supported by Pennsylvania Skill games.
