By Jeanna Bouzek, board chair of Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving

From food banks and playgrounds, to cancer research and vital firefighter equipment, Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving, Powered by Pace-O-Matic, has donated more than half a million dollars to worthy causes so far in 2025.

As of August 2025, the organization has donated $510,471 to individuals and organizations across the commonwealth. Many of the 131 donations given have gone to first responders, along with veteran organizations, animal shelters, community events, health and welfare groups, fraternal organizations, youth programs and support efforts for women and families.

I am so proud to be part of this organization, knowing the difference we are making. I love traveling around the state and hearing about the specific ways in which our donations are being put to good use, like the thermal cameras we purchased that will keep a Dauphin County volunteer fire company safer. Or the students in Union County who created materials for victims of sex trafficking and the VFW in Lebanon County that supports a homeless veteran program.

We also helped a café in Blair County where people with autism can find work and assisted a group in Cumberland County to pay for special markers on Revolutionary War soldier graves. And we supported a women’s center in Erie County doing critical and important work for vulnerable populations.

I want to thank our board, which includes skill game operators, community leaders and Pace-O-Matic representatives. I also want to give a shout-out to all the skill game operators who matched our donations to various groups so far this year.

We are excited to continue this important initiative. Here’s to our giving program helping even more people and communities in the rest of 2025!
