Firefighters never know what the next emergency will bring.

What they can control is how prepared they are when the call comes in.

Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving recently donated $2,500 to Pitcairn Hose Company to help purchase equipment for its firefighters, including new boots.

For first responders, gear is more than equipment. It helps protects the people who put themselves in harm’s way to protect their neighbors.

Firefighters can be called to fires, vehicle crashes, medical emergencies and other unpredictable situations. No two calls are exactly alike, making reliable equipment an essential part of staying prepared.

Equipped for Whatever Comes Next

Pitcairn Hose Company shared photos of equipment purchased with help from the Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving donation, along with a message of appreciation:

“Thank you very much for this donation and keeping our firefighters well equipped for emergencies!”

For volunteer fire companies, replacing and upgrading equipment is an ongoing responsibility.

And behind every piece of gear is a firefighter who may depend on it during an emergency.

Volunteer firefighters step away from their jobs, homes, and families when their community calls. Supporting the equipment they need is one way Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving can give back to the people who give so much of themselves.

Across Pennsylvania, the program supports organizations working every day to strengthen and protect their communities. For Pitcairn Hose Company, that support is helping local firefighters stay equipped for the moments when their neighbors need them most.

Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving is proud to support Pitcairn Hose Company and grateful for its members’ service, sacrifice, and commitment to their community.

When the next call comes, they’ll be ready.
