At Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving, our latest contribution to Central Juniata EMS is a reflection of that commitment.
Recently, Central Juniata EMS received funding through our charitable giving program to purchase a new stair chair, a vital piece of equipment used in emergency medical situations where traditional stretchers cannot be used. Whether responding to calls in multi-story homes, tight hallways, or buildings without elevators, this chair allows EMS providers to safely and efficiently transport patients while reducing strain and risk for both the patient and the responder.

As shared by Deputy Chief John Horan, this equipment is more than just an upgrade. It is a daily necessity.
“Central Juniata EMS would like to extend our sincere thanks to Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Giving for their generous donation. Thanks to this grant, we were able to purchase a new stair chair, which will play a critical role in helping us safely transport patients from homes and buildings where access can be challenging. This equipment helps protect both our patients and our EMS providers every day. We are proud to serve our community, and your support helps make that possible.”
From the photos, you can see just how impactful this addition is. The new stair chair is compact, durable, and designed with safety in mind. Its secure harness system and maneuverable frame allow EMS teams to navigate difficult environments with greater control and confidence. It is equipment like this that often goes unseen by the public, yet plays a crucial role in emergency response every single day.
More importantly, this donation highlights something bigger. Behind every call is a team of individuals committed to helping others, often in unpredictable and high-pressure situations. By supporting organizations like Central Juniata EMS, we are not only providing equipment, but also reinforcing the safety and well-being of the people who dedicate themselves to protecting our communities.
Investments like these ensure that EMS providers can continue their work with the right resources, reducing risk and improving outcomes for everyone involved. It is a reminder that even a single piece of equipment can have a lasting impact, from the moment a call comes in to the safe transport of a patient.
We are honored to support Central Juniata EMS and proud to play a small role in strengthening the essential services they provide every day.
